Losing weight the right way can be a difficult process, especially when you’re trying to focus on tracking the calories you consume. BUT.. there ARE ways around counting calories that can help you be successful with weight loss.
- PLAN your meals: Be prepared with healthy options so it’s not even a decision when it comes to meal and snack time. It’s already done and ready to go.
- Eat off a smaller plate (9” or smaller): Smaller plate equals smaller portions. Eat slowly to give your brain enough time to register when you’re full.
- Limit or reduce sweets and sweetened beverages & be aware of condiment choices: These foods are known for being high in calories and sometimes we don’t even think twice about what we drink or put on our sandwich.
- Prioritize protein and veggies with each meal: Focus on consuming whole, nutrient-dense foods such as vegetables, fruits, lean proteins, and healthy fats. These foods will help you feel full and satisfied.
- Drink 8-16 ounces of water before eating a meal: Drinking water before meals can help you feel full and eat less. Aim to drink at least 8 glasses of water per day.
By incorporating these habits into your lifestyle, you can still lose weight without having to focus every day on the exact amount of calories you consume.
