Why are Social Relationships so Important?

Maintaining social relationships is a vital aspect of our overall well-being.  These relationships provide us with a sense of connection, purpose, support and, ultimately, overall better health and longevity

Dozens of studies have shown that people who have fulfilling relationships with family, friends and community members are happier, have fewer health problems, and live longer –

We love the idea of community, friendships, and connection here at Movara so why not take some time this month to focus on making YOUR community feel loved!

Here are 8 ideas:

*Visit a nursing home in your community

*Write letters of hope and healing to send to men and women serving time in prison

*Donate lip gloss or chapstick to a local womens shelter

*Strengthen friendships by planning a girls or guys night out with women or men in your neighborhood

*Look for someone who is going above and beyond with their customer service at the grocery store or at a restaurant and THANK THEM

*Find a way to pay for someone’s lunch order, groceries or drink in line behind you

*Leave uplifting, happy notes on cars in a school parking lot

*Visit a children’s hospital w/ baskets of coloring books, blankets, toys, etc
