Avocado & Roast Jalapeno Hummus

Serves 4
1 Can garbanzo beans
1 Avocado
1 Tbsp lime juice
2 Garlic cloves
1 tsp Tahini paste
1 tsp Sea salt
1 Jalapeño
1/8 Cup water
4 Whole wheat slices of pita bread

Roast a jalapeño over an open flame. Char the skin, peel the skin off and de-seed the
jalapeño. In a blender, add all ingredients and blend until smooth. Scrape down sides of the blender to get all the lumps. Split 4 ways onto a whole wheat pita or serve as a dip or spread.

Per serving: 235 calories, 5 grams fat, 16 grams protein, 67 grams carbohydrates, 14 grams dietary fiber.
