Prioritizing YOU: Why Self-Care Matters More Than a Number on the Scale

Instead of focusing on a diet or weight loss plan, what if you focused on creating a self-care plan?

Learning how to work with and care for your body leads to lasting change, while chasing a number on the scale can often cause frustration or burnout. When weight loss feels slow, it’s common to give up on healthy habits — but shifting your mindset from “I want to lose weight” to “I want to feel good” creates long-term success.

True health comes from sustainable behaviors, not quick results. And healthy behaviors look different for everyone.   • Keep gratitude lists, declutter, serve someone else, or simply take a nap.
