This seems to be a fad that comes and goes. It has recently “come” again so I thought I would post this article from the UC Berkeley Newsletter. It is a good summary of the potential benefits and misconceptions. First and foremost we need to remember that these types of products are not regulated so we really don’t have much information on them. However, wheat grass seems pretty innocent and couldn’t hurt. Also, it all goes back to eating non-processed whole foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. Don’t get too caught up in the fads, having a nice spinach salad is probably more beneficial than a shot of wheat grass.
