Sundays at Movara are rest days, meaning there are no classes and people are checking in and out of the resort throughout the day. But for our guests that are staying over through the next week we like to do fun things with when possible. So this last Sunday was the Jubilee of Trees in St. George. Not only was it beautiful and the perfect way to bring in the holiday season, all revenue was being donated to the NICU. The creativity and detail on these trees was unbelievable and people could actually purchase the trees. There was also a gingerbread house village, and wreath world, a holiday treat sale, blankets and knit hats were being sold, table settings being bid on, and every penny was going to the NICU. There was a special feeling being there and the guests had a blast! I am pleased to say that guests did buy blankets and hats, but no one touched the goodies! Way to go Movarars!!
I even got to bring my husband to work with me this weekend and being there with him was really great. He admitted to getting a little emotional at the Jubilee of Trees because of the feeling that was there, the holiday season, the babies in the NICU and what their families are going through, and the guests at Movara that were there with us and were changing their lives forever. (I sure hope he doesn’t read my posts because he’d kill me! =) But I couldn’t agree with him more.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
