I will never forget my first day on the show The Biggest Loser. Our first workout was, by far, the hardest thing I had ever physically done in my entire life. To tell you the truth I cried into my pillow that night and wanted to go home because I didn’t think I could do it. But I didn’t go home! And it turned out that I COULD do it, all I needed was a little encouragement until I believed in myself.
I have heard many guests here say similar things about their first day because self-doubt tried to get the best of them, but how the encouragement from those around them carried them through! A guest this week, Trish Schaufer, shared something with me that warmed my heart so much. Trish’s daughter teaches 2nd grade and she had her class make these encouraging letters for her mom. She mailed them off in hopes to encourage her mom throughout her stay. I’m pretty sure it worked!
The notes were so cute that I had to share with you what advise these little 2nd graders had to offer. Side note, I left everything spelled and written the way they were.
