Cheesecake Factory

This week as part of our calorie challenge at the Resort in Ivins, we talked about the restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory. As part of this challenge, we mentioned some better options to choose at this restaurant. Some guests were interested in these better options, so I thought I would list them on the blog in case others are interested as well.

This calorie challenge was created by Jessica, our great nutrition counsellor in Malibu. Thanks, Jessica, for the good information!

Better Options at the Cheesecake Factory:

Appetizers:
  • Don’t be fooled by the Fire-Roasted Fresh Artichoke Appetizer or the Thai Lettuce Wraps–both of these have more than 1,000 calories.
  • Look for the Ahi Carpaccio or the Edamame–both are around 300 calories.
Lunch:
  • 1/2 Turkey Sandwich with Tossed Greens (around 525 calories)
  • Simply Grilled Salmon with broccoli (around 515 calories)
Dinner:
  • Grilled Mahi with green beans (around 522 calories)
  • Tuna Tataki Salad (around 442 calories)
  • Weight Management Asian Chicken Salad (around 571 calories)
  • Low calorie dressings: Spicy Vinaigrette (10 calories/Tbsp) or Sesame Soy (15 calories/Tbsp)
Dessert:
  • Most of the cheesecakes start at about 1,200 calories
  • Look out for the Factory Mud Pie at 2,065 calories per slice
  • The Low Carb Original Cheesecake (contains strawberries and Splenda) still has about 602 calories.
  • Healthier options: Peach smoothie (about 199 calories) and the Goblet of Fresh Strawberries (about 108 calories)
Please note that restaurants can change the calories on their items so please check the restaurant’s website for updated calorie information.
