We are proud to announce that Sione Fa, trainer at The Biggest Loser Resort Ivins and contestant from The Biggest Loser season 7, will be participating in the fourth annual Acumen Solutions Race for a Cause 8k and 1-Mile Fun Run. Sione will be the coach for a special First Timers group to encourage individuals who would like help with tips and coaching leading up to the event. Sione will also personally attend the race and act as the pace leader for this First Timers group.
I love the fact that there will be some first timers. I was a first timer and can attest to the major challenge of losing weight and learning to maintain a healthy lifestyle, said Sione. The show helped me finally get up and move and I’m proud to help others to the same. As a contestant in Season 7 of The Biggest Loser, Sione lost more than 145 pounds.
The Acumen Solutions Race for a Cause will take place on October 14, 2012 in Arlington, VA and proceeds from this event will benefit ten local charities. Last years Race for a Cause boasted 3000+ participants with a resulting $125,000 in charitable contributions distributed to 10 DC-area nonprofit organizations.
